Housed in the ancient San Zaccaria Benedictine convent, famed for the unusually liberal mannerisms of its young noblewomen, Hotel Paganelli opened its doors to guests in 1874.
This 3 star property comprises two separate buildings, 30 metres apart. The first overlooks the famous Riva degli Schiavoni promenade, a few minutes from the Bridge of Sighs, while the second smaller building overlooks campo San Zaccaria.
This charming hotel has all the hallmarks of Venetian style: damask silk, gilded mirrors, light painted furniture and terrazzo floors.
Antique elegance also permeates the 21 rooms, some with their original ceilings.
