Built in the late 19th century, this elegant palace and former bank was restored in 2006, when Hotel A la Commedia opened its doors.
With a pink façade that mirrors the Goldoni theatre opposite La Fenice, this 4-star hotel weaves drama into each room and the red-curtained lobby, recalling the splendid theatrical scenes from Goldoni’s time. Find more sumptuous design in the 35 theatrical double and triple rooms with brightly coloured canopies in rich yellow, red and blue. This attention to detail continues into the marble baths’ elegant gold mosaics.
Relax in the solarium and soak in the view - Rialto bridge a short distance away, St. Mark’s Square a little further on, and running parallel to the 4-star hotel’s calle, the Grand Canal just behind…
The hotel’s evocative theme also comes up in the breakfast room’s white walls and tablecloths set against red curtains and chairs.
