A 15th century palace, Hotel Ai Mori d’Oriente was once the residence of Byzantine merchants, known as "Mori".
Adorned with Byzantine and classic Venetian bottle-glass windows, the light brick façade hides the 1001 nights, immediately captivating visitors as they walk through the lobby, from the walnut furniture, some overlaid with mother-of-pearl, and bright, draped fabrics… The story continues in the 59 rooms and suite, some with views over the canal along Hotel Ai Mori d’Oriente.
Featuring high, ornate stucco ceilings, these Byzantine inspired rooms have stylised headboards, inlaid wood furniture, gilded mirrors, red or yellow damask silk wall hangings, and pointed arches that separate the entrance from the room.
Step into the breakfast room, where green walls, distinctive lighting and green and red chairs recall the Orient Express.
