Poised by the waterfront, near St. Mark’s Square, Hotel Savoia & Jolanda opened its doors in the late 19th century to tourists already enraptured by Venice.
The central location puts the famous Mercerie and Via XXII Marzo areas’ elegant boutiques within easy reach, with numerous palaces and churches nearby. Restored in 1990, this 4-star hotel has kept the charm and splendour of its past.
Its foyer features mosaic stone floors, dark wood Venetian furniture, leather Chesterfield sofas and decorative Murano glass in beautiful cabinets.
The 51 rooms and suites offer the same warmth and inviting elegance, so evocative of the turn of the century.
The main suite, with a big round bed, and 14 junior suites boast incomparable views of the San Marco basin; and except for the first floor, all suites have a balcony or terrace.
While staying at the hotel, sample Terrazza Principessa’s Venetian dishes and fish specialities by the waterside. IMPORTANT : from February 6th to March 15th 2008, the hotel elevator will remain out of service because a new elevator will take place.
