The Kennedy hotel is set in a former palace built in 1880, like many buildings in this Rome which became the capital of the young kingdom of Italy.

A year after the death of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, this 3-star hotel changed its name in honour of the young president.
Just a few hundred metres from Termini station and the famous Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore, where, in early August, the surrounding streets are strewn with white petals in memory of the founding of the church, behind an ochre and faded pink frontage, so typical of the Rome of that period, is a cosy and recently refurbished 3-star hotel decorated in understated simplicity. The corridors are painted in this ochre red, in striking contrast with the white low reliefs, a reminder of the prestigious past of this Eternal City.
The 53 rooms have simply designed modern furniture and very nice views since the Kennedy hotel is set on the street corner. From some of the rooms guests can admire the neo-classical architecture of the Roman Aquarium, the unfinished dream of a big fan of fish, and from others the city walls built by the King Servio Tullio in 400 BC.
