The Grand Hotel Visconti is located not far from the Porta Romana, the historic monumental entrance to the city, and is nestled in a large residence in Milanese yellows which used to be a mill, then the Saiwa factory, producing the mythical Italian biscuits.

The hotel opened in 2004, and is entirely renovated. 
The entrance hall has polychrome marble on the floor, pillars, cornices, dark wood, draping curtains and enormous vases holding very pretty green plants. The colours are warm, with ochre and golden shades. The atmosphere is of great elegance, with some touches of contemporary design, which are also found in the 172 rooms and suites. The Grand Hotel Visconti Palace also offers its very exclusive Tower Suite, which is 120 m², has three floors, a private lift and a Jacuzzi.
This exclusive hotel combines tradition with modernity, like in the "al V Piano" restaurant, where chef Alessandro Lochi offers Milanese dishes as well as his personalised version of world cuisines. 
The hotel is keeps in with the latest trends, with monthly exhibitions from young painters and an exclusive club, Not Just Jazz, whose programme comes from jazz pianist GiorgioDeleo.
